Commercial Window and Glass Cleaning

We clean reachable glazing — interior windows, partitions, entrance doors and storefront glass from ground level. Anything requiring access equipment, suspended platforms or rope access is a separate licensed trade and is not within our scope.

Glass is the item where the gap between what a client assumes and what a contractor quoted is widest, so it is worth being precise about.

What Is Reachable

Interior glazing, glazed partitions, entrance doors, internal side of storefront glass, glass counters and display cases, and the exterior of storefront glass reachable from the pavement. All of that is ordinary cleaning work and belongs in a normal specification.

What Is Not

Anything above safe reach on the exterior. High-rise facade work requires licensed contractors, specific insurance and equipment, and is regulated for good reason. A cleaning contractor who offers to handle your upper-floor exterior glazing as part of a general contract is either subcontracting it without saying so or should not be doing it at all.

Storefront Glass Is a Frequency Question

For retail premises this is not an occasional item. Entrance glazing on a New York sidewalk carries more soiling in a week than internal office glass carries in a quarter, and it is the first surface a customer looks through. It needs a stated frequency in the specification, not an occasional mention.

What Is Included

  • Interior windows and glazed partitions
  • Entrance doors and door furniture
  • Storefront glass, internal face and reachable external face
  • Glass counters, display cases and mirrors
  • Frames, tracks and sills

What Is Not Included Unless You Ask for It

This list is here on purpose. When a client and a contractor fall out, the cause is almost always an item each side believed the other had taken care of. Reading it now costs a minute; discovering it in month three costs considerably more.

  • Exterior glazing above safe ground-level reach
  • Any work requiring ladders beyond safe height, platforms or rope access
  • Facade, curtain wall and atrium glazing
  • Scratch removal, glass restoration or film application
  • Window display dressing

Window Cleaning — Request a Survey

Every enquiry receives a reply. Where your managing agent requires a Certificate of Insurance or vendor registration before access is granted, we complete that paperwork ahead of the first shift.

Window Cleaning: Frequently Asked Questions

Can you clean our exterior windows on the fourth floor?

No. That requires a licensed access contractor with specific insurance and equipment. Any cleaning contractor offering it inside a general contract is either subcontracting it silently or should not be offering it.

How often should storefront glass be done?

Far more often than most specifications assume. For retail on a busy corridor it is a frequent item with a stated frequency, not an occasional one.
