What a Deep Clean Usually Includes

A deep clean reaches what a nightly visit cannot, because a nightly visit has a time budget and these tasks do not fit inside it:

• High-level surfaces: tops of cabinets, ledges, light fittings, exposed pipework
• Internal glass and partitions in full, including frames and tracks
• Behind and beneath furniture that has to be moved
• Skirting, door frames, switch plates and the detail around fixtures
• Restroom deep sanitation, including grout and fixture bases
• Pantry appliances inside as well as outside, where agreed

Carpet extraction and hard-floor restoration are separate again. They need equipment and drying time, and they are usually quoted as their own line rather than folded into a deep clean. Ask which you are getting.

What Drives the Figure

Condition. The dominant variable and the one that cannot be assessed remotely. Premises that have been under a thin specification for two years need substantially more hours than premises that are simply due a reset.

Access and timing. Work that has to happen overnight, at a weekend, or around equipment that cannot be moved takes longer than work in an empty space.

Sensitive equipment. A tech office usually means server or comms rooms and a lot of screens and cabling. Those areas need a defined protocol and are often excluded by default, so say what you want done and what is off limits.

Getting a Figure You Can Rely On

Have the company look at the space, and ask for three things: the task list, what is excluded, and the estimated hours. If it is quoted without a visit, the estimate is being made from a description of your premises rather than from your premises.
